International Hearing Dog, Inc. (IHDI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Henderson, Co. IHDI specializes in the training of service dogs to assist the deaf and hard-of hearing. All dogs are provided at no cost to the recipient

All of the dogs selected for this specalized training come from local animals shelters, are mixed breeds and between 6 months to a year in age.

A professional trainer delivers the Hearing Dog to its new home and works with the team for five days. During this time, the recipient is taught how to maintain the dog’s training to ensure a good working relationship and proper care.
