Amurt is a social and humanitarian organisation that aims to improve the quality of life of people around the world through:

1. Disaster relief
2. Permanent relief projects to help individuals and communities in need, the disadvantaged and the disabled.

Child Sponsorship Programme: Through our child sponsorship programme we are helping over 150 disadvantaged children in India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Africa to get a better education. More children are waiting for our help! Do you know anyone who could help out?

Volunteer programme: We are sending volunteers to projects in India and Nepal. If you're interested in learning about a new culture from the inside while sharing your skills, do get in touch!

Local project to help the poor in Portugal: We are just starting a new project to collect secondhand good and distribute them to needy poor people in Braga. We hope that gradually this will grow into a big project, with a free kitchen to feed the needy, a tuition centre for poor kids, a secondhand shop, a cafe and a recreation room where we can hold yoga and other classes for young and old. We can't do it alone. We need your help.
