About us

Ronald McDonald House New York was born from the realization that children with cancer need to be with their families. Many families must deal with serious disruptions in their lives and the anxiety and pain brought about by the side effects of their child's treatment. In this time of great stress parents need the emotional support of a caring community to maintain a sense of family cohesiveness. Ronald McDonald House New York is committed to providing a positive, supportive environment in which people can come together, sharing common interest and mutal concern, as they learn to live with their child's cancer.

Ronald McDonald House New York is a home away from home for children and famililes who have a child in cancer treatment in a New York City Hospital. "It is the house that love built."
