NAMI NEW JERSEY

NAMI NEW JERSEY is a statewide coalition of self-help support and advocacy groups, composed of families, friends and persons who are affected by mental illness. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life of individuals who suffer from a serious mental illness and their families. Our mission is accomplished through support, education, and advocacy activities, both statewide and on the local level.

NAMI NEW JERSEY advocates to support, advance and defend the rights of persons with mental illness and their families. We seek to improve the delivery of treatment, support services and housing to individuals and families affected by mental illness. Our advocacy efforts include initiating and supporting legislation that will benefit families and their loved ones. NAMI NEW JERSEY is a state affiliate of NAMI-the nation's voice on mental illness.
