About Us

Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area (BGCAA) is a youth development not-for-profit, locally-governed agency that provides programs and services for children ages 6 to 18, mostly who come from disadvantaged circumstances. Since its inception in 1967, BGCAA has provided a safe place for youth to learn and grow, develop ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals, experience character-building and life-enhancing programs, and discover hope and opportunity.

BGCAA serves almost 10,000 kids every year and more than 1,500 every day across 15 Clubs in the Austin Area. Ultimately, BGCAA hopes to help kids develop a sense of competency, a sense of belonging, a sense of usefulness and a sense of influence.

Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
