About Us

Cicerone de Buenos Aires is a nonprofit organization which offers Cicerones to Buenos Aires visitors’ for their walks through our vast and multi-faceted city. In that way the “porteños” (Buenos Aires citizens) could participate and contribute with our knowledge and in different ways to improve the image of our city. The CICERONES are the “friends” we expect to have in our travels. They give their non-professional guide services, free for the visitors, showing them quarters, places, buildings, parks, etc. The visits, of up to three hours of duration, are on foot or by public transportation in groups of up to six people through areas the Cicerones know and are proud to show or places of interest to the visitors. To be a Cicenone is essential to enjoy dealing with people and appreciateing community work. It’s necessary to have good knowledge of any quarter or attraction of Buenos Aires and to be enthusiastic about showing it.
