Our mission is to promote empowerment and civic participation of the Hispanic community through education, advocacy and social services.
Centro Hispano de East Tennessee was developed by the Latino Task Force (LTF) and its umbrella organization, the Community Economic Development Network of East Tennessee (CEDnet).
We incorporated our 501c3 status in 2005. In 2010 with the assistance of the Helen Ross McNabb Center and Knox County, Centro Hispano found a new home at 2455 Sutherland Avenue in the John Tarleton Campus.
In the summer of 2010, with the help of local agencies, Centro Hispano launched the much-needed programs. Centro Hispano is a grassroots organization that is continuously developing and refining its programs and services to address the unmet needs of our Hispanic neighbors.
Centro Hispano is a welcoming community center, serving as a source of essential information and as a gathering place for the civic participation of Hispanics in our community. We bring positive change to the community facilitating its integration to East Tennessee.
