  • About Us

We are a group of local volunteers connected to a larger national (AVP USA) and international organization. Our sole purpose is to conduct conflict resolution workshops which are experiential, fun, and life-changing. We raise our facilitators from the ground up and anyone who is willing to commit to the process and undergo the training is eligible to become a facilitator. We conduct workshops wherever we find groups who wish to learn how to deal with conflict in non-violent, constructive and healthy ways. Currently we have workshops in a prison in Indianapolis, in the Richmond community, and soon, in the Richmond Community Schools. We volunteer because the Alternatives to Violence Project workshops have changed us and we want to share this opportunity for a more peaceful world with as many people as we are able.
