The Charles River Conservancy is a not-for-profit advocacy group founded in 1999 to facilitate the restoration, renewal and maintenance of the Charles River Basin and its surroundings, particularly its parks, parkways and bridges. Working with community, government, corporate and institutional partners, the Conservancy engages in outreach, planning and development programs. All are designed to bring increased resources and attention to the task of reinventing the Charles River Parklands as the common ground of Greater Boston.
