About us

Mission Statement: The Adult Resources Center (A.R.C., Inc.) was established to ensure satisfying, stimulating and secure lives for adults of all ages who have developmental disabilities. Founded in 1955 by a small group of concerned parents, this Brooklyn-based non-profit agency has now grown into a small to mid-size scale, multi-service organization, offering a wide array of services, including residential, home-based and recreational programs for over 100 consumers from young adults to senior citizens. A.R.C aims to improve quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities by fostering their integration into the community, maximizing their capacity for independence by providing them with opportunities for continued growth, advocating for their needs and raising public awareness of the concerns of this population.
