Foster & Banks Walk in Faith Foundation

The Foster & Banks Walk In Faith Foundation is a non-profit social services organization specializing in providing targeted programs, services and support for “at-risk” children, adolescents and young adults experiencing crisis, and those with developmental or learning disabilities. The Foundation also offers support and services to the families of these children to help create more positive and functional family systems. Further, the Foundation provides links to community resources and will in the near future provide in-house support for families with “at-risk” or developmentally challenged children. We have attached more information about our mission, programs, and upcoming events and fundraisers for review.

The Foster & Banks Walk in Faith Foundation has partnered with Budlong Elementary School and Lou Dantzler Charter Prepatory Elementary School. We are in the meeting phases with John Muir Middle School and Manual Arts Senior High School. All are LAUSD schools. We have also partnered with several other non-profit organizations: Rooted for Life, a mentoring organization, Living Advantage, a Foster Care Age organization, the Grades of Green, an environment awareness program and Goodwill of Southern California.

With these partnerships, the Foster & Banks Walk in Faith Foundation will be hosting our First Annual Community Recycling Day on December 1, 2012 from 9:00am- 3:00pm. The event will take place at Budlong Elementary School, located at: 5940 S. Budlong Ave., Los Angeles, California, 90044. During the event there will be Goodwill donation trucks, parent information tables, food, entertainment, jumpers, face painting, and other activities for children, parents, & the community.

Starting January 2013 we will be providing classes to youth and the community such as: free/low cost tutoring, music workshops, self-esteem classes, reading programs, cooking classes and more. We look forward working with your organization in helping our community. Together we can and will change lives!
