To provide effective legal assistance and representation to low income citizens and groups in 37 Appalachian counties of Kentucky through a network of ten operating offices and a support office at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. Issues incude consumer law ; housing problems; family law ,paricularly domestic violence; disability matters, including black lung; safety discrimination in the coal mines; special education issues; and economic development.
