TLC Arts and Sciences Foundation, Inc,

The TLC Arts & Sciences Foundation is a non-profit philanthropic organization presently under construction and awaiting 501(c)3 status in accordance with federal law.

Purposes:

The primary purpose of the TLC Arts and Sciences Foundation is to provide artistic services to the Greater Boston youth. In addition, the Foundation seeks to provide support services to socially active groups and individuals who share similar goals, in the provision of productive and creative outlets, training and support for the development of marketable skills and an outlet for individual expression and artistic endeavors.

Community:

By fostering community relationships, this will help TLC A & S Foundation encourage the youth to understand that they have access to mentors, tutors, and other like-minded individuals to encourage a love for artistic expression and creative endeavors. Also, by creating community relationships, it will allow for others to give back to their artistic community, and create sparks of passion in youth to follow their positive creative outlets in the future.

Projects: Our current new project for TLC Arts and Sciences Foundation will be to seek out locations and personnel to support a Youth Theater Project. Theater encompasses many of the marketable skills required in today’s job market: writing and language, music, set design and construction, audio engineering, electronics, lighting design, costume design, makeup and hair, house management (dealing with money), logistics, event planning, public relations, print layout and marketing, photography, leadership, and fundraising. The "cooperative effort” and working as a team towards a common goal is the essence of the TLC Arts and Sciences Foundation philosophy.
