York Chapter Pennsylvania Prison Society

The York Chapter of the PA Prison Society works to fulfill the broader mission of the PA Prison Society by working with prisoners, their families and the community in York County.

The Pennsylvania Prison Society strives to:

Assist prisoners and their families during periods of confinement and reintegration to the community;

Urge policy makers to avoid politicizing criminal justice issues and recognize the value of a restorative approach to corrections: i.e. a system that seeks to repair the damage to victims, offenders and society as a whole; and

Keep the public informed of criminal justice developments that affect the public's ability to deal constructively with crime.
