Fundacion Manos Juntas

Manos Juntas (Hands Together) Foundation is a nonprofit charitable 501(c)(3) organization which represents what is possible when people join hands and work together to break the cycle of poverty through healthcare and education. We accomplish this through three programs: (1) a free medical clinic every Saturday morning, (2) medical brigades to Nicaragua, and (3) a scholarship program for students in Central America.

We also have a Diabetes Education and Management program every Monday evening. Good diabetes control involves the team approach that we emphasize at our clinic. However, most of the ultimate responsibility for diabetes control rests with the person who has it. Our current Diabetes Education and Management program teaches our patients how to check their blood glucose daily, how to manage their insulin, and how to make lifestyle changes involving food and activities.
