Description

Makaia is a not-for-profit organization that promotes the institutional strengthening of civil society organizations, other not-for-profit organizations, local governments and corporate social responsibility initiatives committed to promoting social and economic development in Latin America.

Makaia´s social purpose is to contribute to the social and economic development by strengthening capacities in topics such as social entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial development, ICT for development, knowledge management, international cooperation and others related to the improvement of the quality of life. This is accomplished by serving as a support organization to other organizations by building capacity in project design and management, international cooperation, promotion of strategic partnerships and the promotion of joint projects between the different organizations that work on these topics. Makaia also promotes these projects and institutions internationally among development organizations.

Based on the needs of the organizations we serve, Makaia´s services fall under two areas:

1. INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AND PARTNERSHIPS FOR DEVELOPMENT

2. INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES FOR DEVELOPMENT
