A Message From Amy Riolo Chairperson Baltimore Luxor Alexandria Sister City Committee

The concept of the Sister City programs launches peoples' diplomacy in practical terms into the spirit of the 21st century. As indicated by its mission statement, the Baltimore-Luxor-Alexandria Sister City Committee is to foster international cooperation and understanding between the American City Baltimore, Maryland and the two historical Egyptian cities, Luxor and Alexandria, through cross-city exchanges of individuals and groups in a variety of areas ranging from technology and business to urban development and education. It stems from a belief that cooperation among peoples would be more complete if it successfully combines, in a practical manner, the cultural aspect with others such as the social and business. During the years, our program has launched many projects, including; art exhibits, folk dance and singing events, student exchanges, and visitor’s exchanges, tours to Egypt, information technology partnership conference, and others. Don’t hesitate to contact us ( info@BaltimoreEgypt.org ) if you would like to be part of this exciting on-going program, or if you have suggestions or would like to launch an initiative that would assist in the economic development of one of these three cities, benefit our young men and women, and/or bring business to Baltimore.
