Democracy Watch

Democracy Watch is an independent, non-partisan, citizen advocacy group established in 1993 and based in Ottawa. Under its mandate "20 Steps towords a Modern, Working Democracy", Democracy Watch advocates democratic reforms aimed at empowering Canadians in their roles as citizens, voters, tax-payers, consumers and shareholders. Democracy Watch is a leading advocate in Canada for democratic reforms including government ethics, restrictions on lobbyists, corporate accountability reforms, and citizen participation in public affairs.
