About us

Project Liberty is a disaster recovery program created by the New York State Office of Mental Health and funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
We provide free and confidential crisis counseling, support groups, education and referral services for all individuals affected by the 9/11 terrorist attacks. We offer one-on-one counseling sessions, educational workshops and group sessions in your home, school, office or place of worship. Our staff of trained, bilingual and bicultural clinicians, specializing in the treatment of trauma, reaches out to populations in both Manhattan and the outer boroughs.
Services are provided in Spanish, Cantonese and Mandarin as well as English.
