The Alliance for Human Services is a dynamic, new nonprofit collaborative founded in 2012 as a response to the need for enhanced coordination, effectiveness and sustainability of human services in Lake County, Illinois. The Alliance's mission is to continuously improve the delivery of human services in Lake County. To ensure the quality of life for people in our communities, the Alliance takes a leadership role to:
• Promote collaboration
• Advocate for the human service sector, and
• Enable the delivery of innovative, sustainable programs and accessible services.
The Alliance is committed to preserving the autonomy of member organizations while providing the following services: Advocacy; Fund Development; Service Coordination; Capacity Development; and, Resource Coordination and Sustainability. The Alliance recognizes the benefits of interdependence, seeks synergy among its members and systems-level solutions to resource pressures, policy constraints and service delivery challenges that cannot be achieved by individual organizations.
