    Paws and Effect, Inc. helps people and animals benefit from each other in the Charlotte, NC community. Here are some of the ways:

    1) Placement of Service Dogs

    2) At-risk youth train service dogs for people with disabilities

    3) Social Therapy Dogs (dogs visit hospitals, nursing homes, etc)

    4) READing Dogs (children read to the dogs)

    5) 6-8th graders train dogs from the shelter then placed into good homes

    6) many other programs are on the horizon.
