Celebrating 26 years of granting wishes to local children, Make-A-Wish Alaska & Washington grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. This year, the local chapter will grant nearly 300 wishes. A wish come true provides children and their families with an opportunity to return to normalcy while it also strengthens their family, as well as the community. The wish experience also provides children living with life-threatening medical conditions with a sense of greater happiness, improved strength and a desire to overcome their illnesses.
