About us

Bali Cantik Tanpa Plastik/Plastic Free Bali (BCTP) is a waste prevention campaign established in 2007 by a group of Indonesian and foreigners living in Bali. BCTP aim to establish a new behavior of reducing the use of plastic through campaign initiative and creative education with involvement from organizations, government, businesses and community.

Our Aim:
1.Island-wide environmental movement of aware and responsible consumers (long-term)
2.Waste from single-use plastic bags is reduced
3.Consumers bring their own bags when shopping
4.Regulation from the government to reduce the use of plastic bags in both large and small retailers, also to oblige the large and small retailers to provide alternative high quality eco-friendly bags.
5.Guidelines for business, community, and media for eco-friendly daily living by reducing the use of plastic bag.
6.Increased community knowledge about the danger of plastic bags for the environment
7.Increased community knowledge about waste prevention to help reduce the burden of existing waste management.
