About us

Founded in 1989, the California Women's Law Center (CWLC) is the only organization in California dedicated to ensure that, through systemic change and legal advocacy, life opportunities for women and girls are free from unjust social, economic and political constraints.

CWLC issue priorities are on gender discrimination, women's health, violence against women, reproductive justice and the unique concerns of women veterans.
