Description

Rising Tides is a micro-philanthropic initiative that seeks to improve outcomes for youth aging out of foster care. We use the web to connect citizen donors to the needs of youth aging out of foster care to promote self-sufficiency and better life outcomes.

Each year about 30,000 young people age out of the foster care system. Less than half graduate from high school and less than 6% finish college. Rising Tides allows citizen donors to directly invest in foster care youth's self-sufficiency and success by donating towards matching savings challenges, purchasing educational supports, or providing online mentoring.
