About: WorldChicago coordinates U.S. Department of State sponsored programs that connect Chicagoans to current and emerging leaders and professional counterparts from around the globe. Through Citizen Diplomacy, WorldChicago encourages individuals, organizations, and businesses to build a network of human relationships, which are the foundation for international agreements and cross-cultural understanding. In 2011, WorldChicago facilitated events, programs and meetings for 862 international delegates from 148 countries.
Get Involved: WorldChicago offers Chicago-area citizens many ways to be involved, including professional hosting, social dinner hosting, homestay hosting, and cultural day hosting (accompanying visitors to Chicago attractions, etc.). We also coordinate events for networking and meet other internationally-minded Chicagoans.
