Innisfree Village

Innisfree Village, a lifesharing community with adults with intellectual disabilities, is dedicated to providing a home and work environment in an atmosphere of beauty, warmth and respectfulness.

Established in 1971, Innisfree Village is made up of 40 coworkers (adults with intellectual disabilities), 15-20 full-time, community caregivers from around the world and about a dozen paid staff. We live on a 550 acre farm 30 minutes from Charlottesville, VA. Together we work in our therapeutic weavery, woodshop, organic gardens, farm, kitchen, art studio, Community House and bakery. All community members are valued and encouraged to explore a full and meaningful life.
