About us

The Umvoti Aids Centre began in 2000 as a service to those who were infected or affected by the HIV/AIDS virus in the Umvoti district of Umzinyathi, Kwa Zulu Natal. Our primary mission is to bring hope and care to the community of Umvoti, and we do this be focusing on HIV/AIDS, Poverty alleviation, Caring for Orphans and Vulnerable Children, Raising awareness, and Skills training.

Our mission has always been to provide holistic care and hope to those affected by HIV/AIDS, and it is this mission that drives the work we do on a daily basis. The main program of our organization is our Home Based Care program, which sends over 185 trained carers out into the rural communities to provide basic medical care and support to those struggling with HIV/AIDS, TB, and other illnesses.
