Community Council for the Homeless at Friendship Place

Friendship Place is a community-based organization dedicated to rebuilding the lives of homeless men and women living on the streets of Northwest D.C. It is the only facility of its kind in the area. Friendship Place offers various types of transitional housing and permanent housing, providing a continuum of care to residential clients and those still homeless. Most of our consumers suffer from mental illness, and we assist them in rebuilding their lives. Services offered include: street outreach, hospitality, medical and psychiatric care, supportive services, shelter, and permanent supportive housing.
