Give Us Wings envisions people in our partner communities in rural Uganda living healthy lives with dignity and hope as they pursue their life goals.

Give Us Wings mission is to encourage, support and partner with people living in extreme poverty in Uganda as they transform their lives and become self-sufficient through greater access to quality health care, education and economic opportunities.

Give Us Wings has been working with rural communities in eastern Uganda since 1999. Give Us Wings listens to the people and learns what their challenges are and helps them access information and resources to address those challenges. Working with the communities, we have built and are operating a health center that provides medical services to over 18,000 people. We have established a family sponsorship program that provides health insurance, access to parenting education, and a boarding school education for one of their children, usually the youngest girl in the family. We are also assisting local farmers' cooperatives -- providing management and leadership training, business planning, enterprise selection and collective marketing of agricultural products.
