Girls 4 Science

Girls 4 Science is Chicago's only all girls science initiative for girls 10-18 years of age. The mission of G4S is to increase science literacy amongst girls 10-18 through a collaboration of external partnerships.

G4S accomplishes its mission through collaboration, scientific discovery, accessibility community engagement/awareness and mentorship. G4S functions as a Saturday Science Academy where girls participate in STEM exploration and discovery activities while working wih mentors dureing each session. Saturday Science Academies are held quarterly in six week sessions for two hours, and are offered to girls year-round at no cost. Each Saturday Science Academy is held at City of Chicago Junior Colleges and University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL.
