NUNM is the oldest naturopathic college in North America. NUNM educates and train physicians and practitioners in the art and science of natural medicine offering graduate professional degrees in: Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND), Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM), Master of Science in Integrative Mental Health (MSiMH), Master of Science in Integrative Medicine Research (MSiMR), Master of Science in Nutrition (MScN), Master of Science in Global Health (MScGH), and Master of Science in Sports Medicine (MScSM). We also offer two undergraduate degrees: Bachelor of Science in Integrative Health Sciences (BSiHS) and Bachelor of Science in Nutrition (BScN).

ND: clinical sciences & holistic methods of healing & disease prevention, instilled with the ancient principle of the healing power of nature. MSOM: delves deeply into thousands of years of classical Chinese methods of diagnostics & healing, using herbs, acupuncture, bodywork & therapeutic exercise. MSiMR: unique program made possible by the growing research base in complementary & alternative medicine. MScN: an active-learning curriculum provides a solid foundation in holistic nutrition and food systems, complemented by skill-training in cooking, teaching, and nutritional counseling. MScGH: combines public health with traditional medicine, providing a whole-systems approach to global health. MSiSM: students are trained to make holistic recommendations that not only encompass injury prevention and rehabilitation, but also encourage appropriate nutritional support, accommodate personal health challenges, and support the client's goals and values. BSiHS: features three core themes: integrative health science, natural sciences, and social sciences. BScN: features three core themes: nutrition, natural sciences, and social sciences.

The school has access to more than a dozen community clinics and features an in house research institute. The NUNM campus in Portland, Oregon takes advantage of a highly livable city infused with nature, beauty, culture and social conscience.
