About Us

The Georgetown Business Improvement District (BID) works to protect and enhance the accessibility, attractiveness and overall appeal of Georgetown.

Established, funded and founded in 1999, by its property owners and merchants, the Georgetown BID has set a standard of excellence in preserving the historic charm while meeting the contemporary needs of Georgetown's commercial district. From marketing and special events, to transportation and streetscape, the Georgetown BID contributes to the vitality and quality of life in Georgetown. Governed by a Board of Directors elected by its membership of approxmiately 1,000 businesses, the Georgetown BID is proud of the role it has played in the ongoing evolution of Georgetown as an exceptional shopping, dining and visitor destination.
