Description

Appropriate Rural Technology for Sustainability (ARTS) consists of two sister organizations -- one in Kolkata, India and the other in Milwaukee, WI (United States). We were established to identify, develop and implement technologies related to food, shelter and energy security in underserved communities. Our mission is to provide access to appropriate (i.e., consistent with geographically specific social and economic needs) technologies with the capacity to create empowered and self-determining communities globally.
