The African Centre for Volunteers (ACV-Kenya) is a volunteer placement organization based in Kenya. We work from the point of conviction that everyone's social, economic, and civil rights needs to be fulfilled to make the world a better place. To contribute to this, we work with grass root communities, and at national and global level through capacity building and advocacy. We also fundraise to support health, education, microenterprise and governance programs at community level.
ACV-Kenya links volunteers to partner organizations for a pre-determined period of time [usually depending on the volunteers availability], to undertake agreed upon roles and responsibilities. Their engagement is based on free will, dedication and solidarity with the most disadvantaged. The volunteers are giving of themselves freely, they are willing to open up to new perspectives, to inspire and be inspired by others.
We place volunteers in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Ghana, and Zambia.
