Description

The Funding Exchange (FEX) is a national membership organization of regionally-based community foundations that support progressive social justice. Founded in 1979, FEX fosters collaboration between activists and donors dedicated to building a more permanent institutional and financial base to support progressive social change.

Since its inception, the Funding Exchange has been a pioneer among progressive grant makers, helping activists remain true to their aims by connecting donors to the most important social movements of the day. In recent years the national office, located in New York City, has distributed over $5 million in grants and supports the coordination of broader network activities.
