Meet the challenges of global poverty through effective, field-based project management. Learn professional practices for promoting sustainable development under the guidance of renowned international development practitioners. The Development Project Management Institute (DPMI) at the Monterey Institute of International Studies, an affiliate of Middlebury College, is a professional training program designed to prepare those who aspire to engage in humanitarian aid or long-term development work in Africa, Asia, Latin America or anywhere else extensive poverty is present. DPMI provides participants with the skills needed for effective professional practice in an environment that addresses both local and global responses to important development challenges. The DPMI program teaches practical skills such as project design, project monitoring, strategic partnering, and the training of trainers.
