Human Rights Watch is one of the world's leading independent organizations dedicated to defending and protecting human rights. For 30 years, Human Rights Watch has fought to bring greater justice and security to people around the world by enlisting the public and the international community to support the cause of human rights for all, and by challenging those who hold power to respect international human rights law. The Health and Human Rights Division at Human Rights Watch researches and reports on health-related rights abuses affecting particularly vulnerable and marginalized populations worldwide, addressing issues ranging from the barriers to accessing health care for at-risk or underserved populations, such as children, migrants, refugees, soldiers, prisoners and LG BT individuals, to discrimination against individuals because of infection or illness.
