About Us

International Citizen Diplomacy of Los Angeles (ICDLA), formerly the International Visitors Council of Los Angeles (IVCLA), is a private, non-partisan, non-profit organization, which implements the International Visitor Leadership Program and other professional and cultural exchanges. ICDLA arranges people-to-people exchanges between emerging international leaders and the citizens of the Los Angeles region. These citizen diplomacy exchanges bring first-hand information about the rest of the world to Angelenos and provide international policy and opinion leaders in government, politics, media, business, education, science, arts and other key fields, with the opportunity to see with their own eyes the challenges and opportunities that define the Los Angeles region. These exchanges begin dialogues that would not otherwise be possible. Leaders are selected by American embassies overseas to visit the United States to meet and confer with their professional counterparts and to experience the U.S. firsthand.
