About us

The Center for Health and Health Care in Schools, located at the George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services. The Center, a nonpartisan policy and program resource center, is dedicated to strengthening children's health and well-being through effective school-based programs. The Center is fully funded by external sources. While the Center has several grants and contracts, its primary funder is The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Currently the Center is serving as the National Program Office for a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant program that addresses the mental health needs of underserved children and youth by supporting school-connected mental health services for students who require them.
