Nonprofit or community organization

BRICK Academy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building and managing high-quality public schools for Newark's neediest children and addressing the elements of poverty that impede academic excellence. We believe a child's zip code should not determine his or her educational attainment, and that a school, working in partnership with its community, can serve as a gateway to opportunity.
BRICK schools work alongside community leaders and organizations to address the many challenges that kids growing in poverty face—hunger, lack of health care, poor housing, lack of resources, etc. Only when we address the needs of the whole child, will we be able to break the cycle of poverty and transform the lives of individual children and whole neighborhoods.
Benefits of working for BRICK Academy Here is a great opportunity to be part of an exciting entrepreneurial organization that is committed to community revitalization by focusing on turning around chronically failing schools. We are looking for an individual who will help build an organization from the ground up. If you are interested in being part of success at a greater scale and looking to invest in a theory of change that actually works – then this is your organization.
