Description

A Better Chance's mission is to increase substantially the number of well-educated young people of color who can assume positions of leadership in our society. Since 1963, A Better Chance has placed over 11,000 students into some of the nation's finest college preparatory high schools through our historic signature program, the College Preparatory Schools Program. Today, A Better Chance is the preeminent national resource for recruiting, identifying, and developing leaders among young people of color. By helping them access a quality education, our programs provide them with opportunities that they might not have had otherwise.
