Division of Global Health Equity, Brigham and Women's Hospital

About Us

The Division of Global Health Equity (DGHE) at Brigham and Women's Hospital is committed to reducing health disparities around the world through training, education, research, and service. Established in 2001, the Division trains the next generation of global health practitioners and allows faculty committed to meeting the needs of populations in the world's poorest areas to practice medicine and undertake essential research. Under the leadership of Division Chief Paul Farmer, DGHE works in close collaboration with Partners In Health (PIH), a non-profit organization, and the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine of Harvard Medical School (DGHSM).
