About Us

The mission of the Association of Parents with Disabled Children (APDC) is to protect the rights of children with special needs and to support their development in mainstream society by supporting their family members and caregivers. The Association's primary objectives are to: advocate for the rights of children with disabilities; identify and overcome problems and barriers that children with disabilities face in terms of equal access, social inclusion, education, health and public assistance; raise public awareness and change public attitudes regading disabilities; support and assist children with disabilities and their care givers; and serve as a primary resource to organisations, non-government, private and public entities working with children with special needs.
