Volunteers in Community Engagement (VOICE) is a not-for-profit, secular, Australian based organisation that has been sending volunteers on grass roots, community identified development projects since 1992.
At VOICE we utilise the passion and skills of volunteers to deliver education based programs that build the capacity of individuals, communities and organisations. We work closely with long established partners on the ground in a select group of countries to ensure that projects are identified by those communities as needed and worthwhile.
Currently at VOICE we run development programs in Vanuatu, Mexico, Costa Rica, Kenya and India as well as in Indigenous communities in Australia. Our development programs range from short term (2 weeks) to medium term (10 + weeks). Some programs place volunteers individually or in pairs, and others are small group programs with in-country support and trained field staff.
