Description

Chicago Children's Advocacy Center (ChicagoCAC) coordinates, supports and participates in an interdisciplinary response to child abuse victims and their families in a child-friendly environment that ensures children's safety, health and well-being. ChicagoCAC accomplishes its mission by providing healing services, including crisis intervention, interviewing, advocacy, and treatment for children and their families; providing outreach and education to deepen the community's understanding of the cause and consequences of child abuse and stimulate community participation in caring for Chicago's abused children; and providing a physical and professional environment that supports the work of agencies charged with responding to child abuse.
