unity. innovation. global citizenship
The Jamaican Heritage Society (JaHs) is a social organization dedicated to becoming the leading source for Jamaican news, culture and education while striving to promote a positive image of the Jamaican community worldwide. Through thorough exploration of Jamaican history, policy and arts, we will promote a deeper appreciation of the culture, long-lasting cooperation and partnerships among Jamaican nationals, leaders and corporations in the United States and the world.
The purpose of the Jamaican Heritage Society falls under three pillars – Education, Lifestyle and Community.
JaHs will develop and maintain an online database of Jamaican History.
JaHs will host networking events, social outings and excursions to encourage connections among members of the Jamaican community.
JaHs will promote, sponsor and participate in local outreach initiatives – especially those that involve increasing literacy and youth empowerment
