What does it mean to be a community music school? To us at the New School of Music, it means supportive teaching styles and regular non-competitive performing opportunities for our students. It means family sing-along/pizza parties and faculty concerts with meet-the-performer receptions - often all in one week. It means affordable lessons and classes, with generous scholarships for those who need further assistance. It means outreach programs supporting the community's public school music department in a collaborative effort to keep the arts a focus of our children's education.

We are open to students of all ages and levels: those who have never taken music lessons, and to those who want to return to it and find a new perspective on the joys of music making. At NSM, we strive to be our community's all-inclusive, welcoming music school.
