Magdalene Human Service Initiative (MHSI) is a nonprofit humanitarian service organization dedicated to providing human services and financial or material support for the most vulnerable and marginalized individuals, families, and communities in Africa.
Our name and purpose were inspired by Saint Mary Magdalene. She reminds us that we must directly and passionately serve and support the most vulnerable and marginalized among us without discrimination or prejudice.
Although our organization is partly inspired by a belief in God and religious teachings, we are a non-religious and non-proselytizing organization. We are also strictly non-political. We serve and support all those who need our help without regard to creed or religion.
