Nonprofit (Boston): Project Bread - The Walk For Hunger of Massachusetts

Project Bread's mission is to alleviate, prevent and end hunger in Massachusetts. Our goals are to make emergency food accessible to people who would not otherwise have adequate food; to increase public awareness and understanding of hunger; to effect public policies to prevent hunger in our midst; and to empower people by offering positive avenues of action, including the annual Walk for Hunger.

To achieve our goals we raise funds to support hundreds of emergency feeding programs in Massachusetts; we operate hotlines and childhood hunger outreach programs to make food resources available to hungry people; we develop broad-based partnerships to promote policies to address hunger in our communities, we conduct research and public education campaigns to raise public awareness of hunger; and we continue to develop and implement new avenues to respond to hunger.
